Pete ‘n’ Keely

A Sparkling Musical Cocktail … On The Rocks
By James Hindman

pete Summer tix

America’s swingin’ sweethearts Pete Bartel and Keely Stevens reunite in 1968 for a live television special.  Their trip down memory lane evokes their musical career in Las Vegas, on TV and at the top of the hit parade.  But they haven’t spoken in five years since their big breakup, and it’s anyone’s guess what sparks will fly when the two appear on stage.  Starring Carbonell Award-Winning Connie SaLoutos as Keely.  Rex Reed said that “Pete ‘n’ Keely is Broadway in a bottle – the brightest, happiest, and most entertaining little show in town.”  New York Magazine’s John Simon said that the show has a “stylishness and charm few if any of today’s big Broadway musicals can begin to match,” and Newsday’s Gordon Cox said, “It’ll knock your socks off!”

Some of the great songs that you will know and love from Pete ‘n’ Keely:
Fever
Besame Mucho
Lover (When You Are Near Me)
This Could Be The Start Of Something Big
Black Coffee
Battle Hymn Of The Republic
But Beautiful…(and many more)

Lying in State

Comedy
By David C. Hyer

lying Summer tix

Senator Ed shouldn’t have been shooting at squirrels because the bullets ricocheted and he wound up dead.  Grievers who gather at the funeral parlor include his ex-wife, who Ed shot accidentally in the caboose, and his fiancé Buttons, a former exotic dancer.  Buttons also has a past with the Governor who comes to pay his respects.  With a host of characters who are hoots, this wacky comedy poses the question:  Shouldn’t Ed run for re-election even though he’s dead?  Don’t miss this off-the-wall, fall down funny comedy, which skewers today’s politicians and their advisors.
